A must-have tea utensil for matcha lovers who enjoy several bowls a day. Beyond its functionality, the beautiful design brings a touch of authentic Japanese elegance to your home.

We highly recommend this Sifter Set for families, gatherings, matcha parties, workshops, or even for professional use in cafes and teahouses. Not only does it help you prepare the smoothest-tasting matcha possible, but it also simplifies the sifting process. Simply sift the amount you need for the day, and you are ready—no more sifting bowl by bowl!

Why Sifting is the Secret of Japanese Pros

Matcha is extremely sensitive to moisture and tends to clump easily. If these clumps aren't broken down, they won't dissolve properly, leaving bitter lumps that ruin the tea experience. This is a common mistake for beginners. The solution used by experts in Japan is sifting! Don’t forget to add this beautiful sieve set to your next matcha order.

More than just Black...

The color of this product is known as Tame, a traditional Japanese aesthetic used for centuries. In Japanese culture, Tame refers to a unique depth-effect achieved through master lacquerware techniques. This specific finish is Black Tame (Kuro-tame): a deep black lacquer base topped with a dark, translucent coat. It appears almost black at first glance, but reveals warm, reddish undertones upon closer look.

・Important Note

Only sift the amount of matcha you plan to consume in the short term. While the steel container provides a secure seal, it is not intended for long-term storage. Sifted matcha has a higher surface area, making it more sensitive to oxidation.

・Care Instructions

Do not wash with water! Clean the container by wiping it with a dry tea towel or paper towel, as moisture can cause the steel to rust. For the first use or if a deeper clean is needed, wipe it with a slightly damp cloth and immediately dry it thoroughly.

・Storage

To maintain freshness, matcha should always be stored in the refrigerator. If you have leftover sifted powder, keep it in the fridge and consume it as soon as possible.
