Order Restrictions

The following shopping restrictions are in effect in our online store from February 4, 2025. We ask for your kind understanding on this regard. Please note that bulk orders and multiple orders are not accepted and will be canceled.

Matcha Stock Shortage!

As we have previously informed our customers, the supply of Matcha teas has recently been facing serious challenges.

This shortage of teas has now reached its peak.

The Matcha teas are starting to run out completely and our manufacturer has also introduced drastic quantity restrictions. As you know, matcha is made from tea leaves, and the amount of tea leaves that can be harvested in a year is finite. If there is an excessive demand, the teas will simply run out. They cannot be produced on demand, you have to wait for the next season.

When will things be back to normal?

The good news is that you won't have to wait that much longer. The next fresh crop will be harvested in May, and then it will take another 1-2 months for the finished teas to be packed and delivered to stores. We expect things to be back to normal by late June / early July.

Please be patient!

Thanks to Matcha Miyako's extremely good relationship with the producer (Marukyu Koyamaen), we still have some matcha available, even if it's in small quantities. As long as the producer can prepare even one piece of tea, we stand strong!

1. Order Quantity Limit

Matcha teas and cooking powders: 1pc/product

excluded Matcha Latte 200g max. 2pcs

Japanese Tea Sets, Utensils: max. 2 pcs/product

Hojicha Teas, Sweets: no restriction

2. Cart restrictions

Minimum order amount: 3,000 JPY
Maximum order amount: 40,000 JPY

If an error message appears:

If you change the allowed quantity of a given product in the cart page, an error message will appear, and the system will not allow you to proceed. If you cannot go to the checkout page, please do the following:

1. Delete all products from your cart
2. Log out of your account, then login
3. Place the right quantity of products in the cart
